Eine großartige Band mit einem atemberaubenden Song, reibungslose Teamarbeit und eine ausgefeilte Social Media Kampagne mit Guerilla-Marketing-Komponenten ebneten den Weg zu diesem Erfolg. On February 4th the band ZiBBZ was voted to be the official entry of Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. A great band with a stunning song, smooth teamwork and a sophisticated social media campaign with guerilla marketing components paved the way to this success, focus: Facebook & Instagram. We present the different campaign steps: planning and execution, content creation and the national selection. The campaign setup contained a detailed content and timing plan and a target audience analysis to earn a high reach within combined audiences of the band’s fans, the engaged ESC community and the TV audience. The last step of the campaign was to earn votes during the TV show. That’s how ZiBBZ and Dunstan Media House convinced Switzerland by creating a complex social media campaign and content strategy.
